TSG and FESPA 2025: When the Basics Matter Most

When FESPA—the global benchmark for print and signage—needed signage for its 2025 Global Print Expo VIP lounge in Berlin, it turned to The Sign Group. We may not be FESPA members (yet) and we have never exhibited at the show, but the team trusted us to deliver seven bespoke pieces that hit the brief on quality, sustainability, and speed. FESPA
A Refreshingly Simple Brief
The signage itself was “everyday kit”, nothing experimental. Way-finding panels, zone markers, and a few illuminated elements—straightforward pieces that still had to look spot-on in a premium setting. For us, that meant:
- In-house fabrication in Leeds, keeping every stage under one roof.
- Tight QC to ensure clean edges, accurate colour, and perfect illumination.
- Zero fuss delivery to Berlin, right place, right time, ready to install.
Sustainability Baked In
Even the simplest jobs come with our full sustainability toolkit:
- 100 % renewable energy powering our factory.
- Eco-solvent inks and long-life substrates.
- Low-waste production methods and verified carbon data via our Carbon Footprint Calculator. FESPA
- High-efficiency Neonplus® technology for illuminated elements.
The result? Signage that looked sharp, performed flawlessly, and carried a smaller carbon footprint—proof that you don’t have to compromise to go green.
Why It Matters
We spend most days pushing new ideas, testing materials, and solving tricky lighting challenges. Moments like this remind us that leading the field also means nailing the fundamentals: do the basics brilliantly, back them up with solid process, and make sustainability non-negotiable.
As co-founder, I am incredibly proud of the whole crew. We might even allow ourselves five guilt-free minutes to feel content—then it’s back to chasing the next bright idea.
