We invest in a new C02 Laser

One of the first in the UK to install the Mantech LF1525, The Sign Group says new laser software and the benefits of having a “solid piece of equipment” has tripled its output.

Capable of cutting up to 20mm acrylic, the sign manufacturer uses the new kit predominately for 3, 5, 8, and 10mm clear acrylic.

As well as increasing output speeds, the investment in the new CO2 laser machine has meant that many of the acrylics The Sign Group was previously cutting on one of its three CNC routers, can now be cut on the larger laser.

Following on from the investment, The Sign Group has employed a new member of staff and a new apprentice to help run the new laser and its pre-existing CNC routers.

Based in Leeds, The Sign Group started out specialising in CNC cutting, producing cut letters and sign trays.

Since its inception, the company has grown to offer services in most areas of signage. This includes its LED rigid ‘neon’ products including Neonplus®, neon flex and led components via its sister company We Love LEDs.
