Last week we attended the BSGA British Sign Awards, where we were shortlisted in two categories. The British Sign Awards, organised by the British Sign and Graphics Association, celebrate the achievements of British sign makers.
Our market-leading neon alternative NeonPlus® RGB was shortlisted in the Product of the Year category. NeonPlus® is cheaper to run than neon, and lasts for longer. It’s available in eight static colours and is far more versatile than neon, whilst staying super-bright!
Although we weren’t the ultimate winners of the Product of the Year award, NeonPlus® was highly commended by the judges which we are very proud of.
Ryan who works in the workshop was shortlisted in the Young Signmaker of the Year category. Ryan is a very hard working young man, and always has been. He started with us through the Sign Making Apprenticeship and we were immediately impressed. He’s quiet but very methodical in his working process, keeping records in his little black book of every job he is involved with. The records he keeps are astounding, and I would put him against any industry veteran in terms of fault finding and enthusiasm. You can tell he really enjoys the job and in the last 12 months we have given him the responsibility of supervising 2 new members of the team, as well as keeping control of his own stock in the assembly department. He has really risen to the challenge and we are proud to have him as one our leading LED engineers.
He wasn’t a winner on the night but was highly commended by the judges, which is a massive achievement considering the number of entries.
