New CNC Router installed early December 2013

In early December 2013, The Sign Group installed a new CNC router (a computer controlled cutting machine) into their workshop. This is an extremely powerful machine, allowing us to cut and shape a range of different materials, doubling production times & output. Alongside this, there is also an automatic tool changer, speeding up the process even more.

We’re also one of only a handful of trade suppliers running 2 CNC machines side by side, allowing us to increase our workload, whilst still producing an extremely high-quality of work.

Some of the other features of the CNC router include:

3000 x 2000 router beds
New Machine Tekcel EXR 3 x 2m, running alongside existing Tekcel V-Series 3 x 2
Each machine runs between 10-12 hours per day to keep up with demand
General CNC work including: sign trays, letters, moulds for vac forming, 3D milling & engraving
